Ford launched its F-Series pickup trucks in 1948.

On January 16, 1948, the Ford Motor Company publicly revealed the F-1 pickup, beginning the F-Series legacy of tough trucks. Since 1948, more than 32 million trucks have worn the F-Series badge.

These have been the best-selling pickup trucks for 36 consecutive years, and the overall best-selling vehicle in the United States for 31 years. This year, Ford is celebrating the 1948 Ford F-1 pickup that started it all. Happy 65th anniversary!
